The main point is that a sort happened among the country.
The sort separated communities based on politics and religious beliefs which
clearly closely relates to politics.Bill Bishop gives examples of how politics have changed neighborhoods into homogeneous sections. Similarly, deep separations occurred between the people and global issues because of the growing differences among Americans which caused a rumor of polarization. Politicians know how to change voting districts to favor parties using one of two techniques known as gerrymandering or conspiracy. Bishop uses examples to make small points to support his thesis throughout the chapter. Bishops paragraphs after his examples are strong and support his examples strongly. All of his evidence shows proof that the sort happened.
